Nottingham Forest moved back into third place in the Premier League with a strong 2-1 win over Tottenham in London, keeping their unbeaten Easter Monday streak alive – now 17 games without a loss.
Forest started much better than the hosts, going ahead early. After a powerful shot from Gibbs-White was parried by Spurs keeper Vicario, the rebound eventually fell to Elliot Anderson, whose long-range strike deflected off Bentancur and wrong-footed the keeper for 1-0.
Forest thought they had a second soon after when Chris Wood finished off a great pass from Anderson, but VAR ruled him narrowly offside. However, Wood didn’t take long to strike again, heading in from an Elanga cross to double the lead and send the away fans wild.
Spurs struggled to respond, with Tel and Richarlison both wasting chances before half-time. Ange Postecoglou made changes at the break, but Spurs still couldn’t take control. Gibbs-White nearly made it 3-0 on the hour, but shot wide under pressure.
Spurs kept pushing and almost pulled one back when Kulusevski’s header was cleared off the line by Toffolo in acrobatic fashion. Forest began to sit back late on, but keeper Sels twice denied Richarlison with sharp saves.

The Brazilian finally scored with four minutes left, heading in a cross from Porro, but it was too late for a comeback.
Forest’s win keeps their hopes of European football alive – exactly 30 years after their famous third-place finish under Frank Clark. For Spurs, it’s another blow: they’ve now lost 17 of their last 21 league matches against teams who started the day in the top half and are heading for their first bottom-half finish since 2007/08.
