The Football Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) has named the football player of Bayern and the national team of Canada – Alphonso Davies as the best player in 2021.
The young talented 21-year-old defender won his third Bundesliga title with Bayern this season, and he played the largest number of matches in the World Cup qualifiers for the Canadian national team.
His national team finished in first place and thus secured a “visa” for the World Cup in Qatar. Davis was one of the key players on the team.
On the other hand, the award was given in the women’s category, and it went to the American Crystal Dan.
She led the United States national team to bronze at the Tokyo Olympics, and also won the national championship title with the Portland team.
They received the award after the voting of coaches, players, media representatives and fans, the CONCACAF website pointed out.
