UNBEATABLE: Cristiano Ronaldo player of the season at United!

Manchester United has brought to an end another unsuccessful season. Despite the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, a man who is a guarantor of success wherever he plays, the club has failed to win a single trophy of the season. However, Ronaldo’s good games did not go unnoticed and he won an award for them.

Since returning to the ranks of the “red devils”, the Portuguese has played 39 games and scored 24 goals, which was enough to win the award for the best player of the team for last year.

The award that Ronaldo won is named after the club’s legend, Sir Matt Basby, and interestingly, this is not the first time the Portuguese has won it.

Cristiano received the prestigious award three times in his first term – in the seasons 2003/04, 2006/07 and 2007/08.

Apart from him, only David De Gea has been named Player of the Year four times.

The vote was attended by United fans around the world, and was held through the club’s website and application.
