Cologne football players beat the Augsburg team 3:2 in the match of the 10th round of the Bundesliga.
The visiting team took the lead with a goal by Florian Niederlechner in the 14th minute, and four minutes later, a goal by Augsburg’s Carlos Gruezo was disallowed for offside.
Cologne turned it around with goals from Steffen Tigges in the 47th and Denis Huseinbasic in the 61st minute, before Daniel Caligiuri equalized eight minutes later.
Tigges brought the victory to the home team with his second goal in the 81st minute.
The “The billy goats” ended a streak of three defeats in all competitions (two defeats against Partizan in the Conference League), and now occupies seventh place in the Bundesliga table with 16 points. Augsburg is in 12th position with three points less.
In the next round, Cologne visits Mainz, and Augsburg welcomes Leipzig.
