Danish national team player and Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen have reached an agreement for the next season with a new club, the Spanish Barcelona.
According to the media, led by Fabrizio Romano, Andreas will undergo medical examinations next week and sign a pre-agreement with Barcelona.
The Dane rejected the offer of Bayern Munich, but also several Premier League clubs. Romano points out that out of respect for Chelsea, Christensen did not want to strengthen any rival of “The Blues”, which showed how much he respects the club.
Christensen arrived at Chelsea as a teenager, became a significant player with Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel, but decided to accept new career challenges.
Another Chelsea player, Cesar Azpilicueta, is expected to reach an agreement with Barça soon, but he has not yet made a final decision.
