Federer confirmed that he missed Wimbledon

The Swiss tennis player, Roger Federer, visited Lenzerheide today, where he watched the race in the World Cup and then answered questions from journalists.

“Recovery is going according to plan, but I don’t plan to play before late summer or early autumn,” Federer said.

According to that statement, that means that he will also miss Wimbledon, his favorite tournament that he won the most in his career.

The 40-year-old tennis player has been absent from the court since the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in 2021. He lost to Hubert Hurkacz (6-3 7-6 6-0) and is recovering from his third knee surgery in 18 months.

Roger will turn 41 in August.
