CHELSEA STILL DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT VICTORY: City celebrated in the Cup, and Liverpool survived the Derby!

Manchester City welcomed Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on their home field and celebrated with the result 2:0: thus securing passage to the next stage!

As it usually happens, both teams came out with changed lineups for this match.

Football players who normally don’t get that much playing time got it today. Someone used it, someone on the other hand didn’t.

Griliš on one side and Pulisic on the other side were ready to play from the start.

However, perhaps the best chance in the first half came from the young Hall, who missed the impossible and thus missed the chance to give Chelsea the lead.

At halftime, the score was 0:0.

As it usually happens, a penalty followed in the second half.

First, Mahrez scored from a free kick to make it 1:0, and only five minutes later, Alvarez was in the right place and after a deflection passed the ball into the net for a big 2:0 in the 58th minute of the match.

Manchester City was confident in the rest of the match and, as expected, kept possession, which slowed down the tempo of the game.

Ortega was excellent in goal, stopping all rival shots on goal. “Blues” had opportunities until the end of the match, but they were not lucky. They even had a goal disallowed at the very end of the match.

There weren’t too many chances until the end of the match and City deservedly celebrated. The question arises as to what is the fate of Potter because since his arrival there has been no progress compared to what we have seen from Thomas Tuchel.
