Birkirkara will be aiming to make it three consecutive victories under coach Paul Zammit when they take on Mosta, with the Stripes eager to continue their resurgence in the YoHealth Malta Premier League.
Since Zammit’s return, Birkirkara have shown renewed confidence and momentum, registering back to back league wins and keeping two consecutive clean sheets to climb steadily up the standings. With nine points collected from the closing round so far, the Stripes are beginning to rediscover the consistency that had eluded them earlier in the campaign.
Their recent improvement has been built on defensive solidity and a more clinical attacking approach. Kemar Reid leads the scoring charts with five goals, while Donovan Makoma and Asumah Abubakar have provided important contributions in the final third as Birkirkara look increasingly dangerous going forward.
Mosta, meanwhile, find themselves in a difficult spell, having lost their last five league matches and struggling both defensively and offensively. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in five games and have not found the net in their last three outings, highlighting the challenge they face against an in form Birkirkara side.
History also favours the Stripes, who have dominated recent meetings between the two sides, winning the last five league encounters and already defeating Mosta earlier this season. With confidence growing under Zammit and momentum firmly on their side, Birkirkara will be determined to secure another three points and make it three wins from three as they continue their push up the table.
