Former Bayern president Uli Hoeneß is known for his direct statements and for always saying what he thinks, so this time as well.
A lot is written about investing money in clubs like PSG, Manchester City, and the like, but Uli is not worried – he claims that they still can’t do anything to Bayern.
- I always enjoy winning against PSG and Manchester City, just to show them that their sh*** money is not enough – said Hoeneß.
As he says, their money is not enough for the title in big competitions.
- What did they win? They won absolutely nothing. No Champions League title. None – Uli pointed out, and he did not miss the opportunity to undermine the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi:
- The difference between me and him is that I acquired it all with great difficulty, and he accepted it all as a gift. We beat PSG in the Champions League final in 2020 and they will continue to lose to us. He will not always lose, but he will lose – says Hoeneß.
He also commented on Bayern’s dominance in Germany, where he won as many as nine titles in a row.
- Should we stop playing the Bundesliga, so that it becomes exciting again? Or to play with ten players in the future? All of this is an exhausting topic. I’m not happy either when I see that we win 1: 0, and it can be much more exciting. I don’t like that either – concluded Hoeneß.
