BALOTELLI'S SHOW IN SION: Drunkenness, a fight and a Pikachu costume

Italian striker Mario Balotelli ended the season ingloriously at the club, which ended up being relegated.

He was brought in as a big reinforcement, for many more as an attraction, a year ago, and in such a short period he managed to make a strong impression in Sion.

Eight goals and the same number of assists, Balotelli’s performance on the field was even more noticeable off it. Waiting for dawn in nightclubs, showing the middle finger to Basel fans, calling out the league for corruption and injustice, getting drunk at preparations in Marbella and trying to bring girls to a hotel, as well as an incident that is surely one of his biggest outbursts, and he had many.

Namely, the Swiss media wrote in February about the craziest event in which a soccer player was the actor. Balotelli then, disguised as the cartoon hero Pikachu, in order to hide his identity, together with sports director Bertelemi Konstantinos, who was disguised as a character from the series ‘La casa de papel’, went out for a night out.

However, they were soon recognized and then drunken people began to besiege Balotelli and the whole situation was resolved by tensions and a fight in which Balotelli knocked out his companion Konstantin.

At the end of another crazy episode of Balotelli’s career, Sion were defeated in the last game of the championship and thus finished in last place in the league. Next season, they will play in a lower level of the competition.

In an address to the media after the fiasco, the sports director of the club, who “partied” with Mario, said that bringing the attacker from Italy was a big mistake.
