ARTETA: In the Premier League, 2:0 is the most dangerous result

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta spoke after his team’s 2:1 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates.

It looked like the ‘Gunners’ would achieve an easy triumph over the ‘Foresters’, but in the end, the home team fought to preserve the one-goal lead.

“It is always difficult to win in the first match of the season. We deserved to have the advantage, but we failed to close the game. And 2:0 is actually a dangerous result in the Premier League. In a loss of concentration, we conceded a goal and the game was active again.” Mikel Arteta told BT Sport at the end of the match.

We wanted this kind of game and in the end, we managed to take three points.” added the Arsenal manager.

He also referred to Eddie Nketiah’s great game.

“Eddie Nketiah was very disappointed that he was not a starter in the Community Shield against Manchester City, but today he had a big impact on the match. This Sunday, he trained like a beast and with that, he told me “I have to play”. And I put it to play. It’s a great example for everyone.” concluded the Spaniard.
