Lija Athletics A and Santa Margerita AFC Futsal secured a place in the Enemed Women’s Futsal Trophy semifinals when they achieved good victories in their respective quarter-finals.
Lija Athletics A beat Lija Athletics B 8-1 in a game which they dominated from start to finish. By the end of the first half the score was already 4-0 with the first team from Lija remaining in control of the game until the end.
Ruth Steer Cheetham scored three goals, Michela Felice had a personal brace while Fallon Sammut, Sarah Grech and Ylenia Azzopardi also found the net.Andrea Mejia reduced the scoring margin for Lija Athetics B. Referees: Luca Formosa and Arlind Subashi.
Santa Margerita AFC beat Parr Mela Rocket Futsal 4-2 in a very interesting game. Edera Marmara scored a double for Santa Margerita with Darya Attard and Nicole Valentina among the scorers. Jennifer Garzon and Mirhea Gomez were the scorers for Parr Mela Rocket Futsal.
