Thea Parnis Coleiro reaches 200m final and breaks national record at the EYOF

Maltese sprinter Thea Parnis Coleiro put in a great performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival, earning her place in the 200m final.

At the National Stadium Todor Proeski, she ran the semi-final in 24.06 seconds, coming third in her heat.

This time set a new national record for both the Under 18 and Under 20 age groups.

The 200m final will take place on Friday, 25 July at 10:20 a.m.

Over the next two days, Taekwondo athlete Alycia Cassar will compete in the -63kg event on Friday 25 July from 11:24 a.m., and gymnast Sophie St. John will take part in the Balance Beam final on 26 July from 2:20 p.m.
