British middleweights Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will face off again on 15 November at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in one of the most anticipated rematches of the year.
The fight will be a reprise of their non-title 12-round bout last April, when Eubank claimed victory by unanimous decision 116 to 112 in a contest that echoed the famous clash between their fathers, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, at the same North London venue 35 years earlier.
Organisers confirmed the date on Wednesday, with Ring Magazine, owned by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, reporting that the deal was finalised on Tuesday. The fight, branded Unfinished Business, will be sponsored by Riyadh Season, with Sela, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, acting as lead promoter. Weight terms are expected to remain unchanged from the first meeting.
“Back to Spurs we go for the GETBACK,” Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn posted on Instagram.
A September 20 date had initially been considered for the rematch, but Eubank indicated he would not be ready in time, leading to the revised November schedule.
The bout is expected to draw a large crowd to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as both men look to settle the score in a rivalry that blends modern competition with a rich family legacy in British boxing.
