Miguel Amato and Dejan Grech have secured their places in the final of the second qualification tournament for the 2025 European Championship, which will be held in Ireland later this year.
Both players displayed consistent and impressive form throughout the competition, earning their place in the final with well-deserved victories.
Grech began his campaign with a commanding 6-1 win over Kerstin Vella in the opening round. He then maintained his momentum, defeating Miguel Mizzi 7-5 and Wayne Pace 8-2. The semifinal was a formality as he eased past Jason Micallef 9-0.
Amato entered the tournament in the second round and was immediately tested, edging past Joseph Fiteni 6-5. He followed this up with a 7-4 win over Alessio Magro before narrowly overcoming Clint Azzopardi 8-7 in the quarter-finals. In the semi-final, Amato faced Johan Attard and clinched a tight 9-8 victory.
The final will take place on Monday evening at the Fuego Speakeasy Arena in Birkirkara, with the match scheduled to start at 7:30pm.
