With one month remaining until the Olympic Winter Games return to Italy, the International Olympic Committee has released a new short film titled Ti Amo, marking the countdown to Milano Cortina 2026, which begins on 6 February.
The film invites audiences worldwide to engage with the upcoming Winter Games through an Italian lens. Set to the well known song Ti Amo, it reflects the emotions associated with elite sport, including anticipation, commitment and excitement, while highlighting elements commonly associated with Italy such as passion, warmth and humour. The production offers an early glimpse of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games and features a special appearance by double Olympic champion freestyle skier Eileen Gu, who won gold at Beijing 2022.
International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry said the Games will bring together the world’s leading winter athletes against a distinctive Italian backdrop. She noted that Italy’s sporting culture, landscapes, fashion, food and hospitality will form the setting for performances that aim to connect people through memorable sporting moments during the Games.
The XXV Olympic Winter Games will be held from 6 to 22 February 2026, marking the event’s return to Italy after 20 years. Milano Cortina 2026 will include 16 Olympic winter sports disciplines, staged across a range of venues from the Italian Alps to the city of Milan.
The Ti Amo film will be broadcast globally through official Olympic broadcasters and shared across Olympic digital platforms from 6 January. It forms part of a wider International Olympic Committee campaign celebrating the Olympic Winter Games in Italy, following earlier initiatives such as the Olympic Rings Pasta activation, and continuing throughout the lead up to and duration of the Games.
Tickets and hospitality packages for Milano Cortina 2026 are available, with fans able to follow the event worldwide through official Olympic broadcast partners.
