MaltaSport has information that 4,000 Dutch supporters will be flocking to the Ta’ Qali National Stadium for Malta v Netherlands on Thursday 9 October 2025, with kick off at 20:45. There has also been a request from Oranje supporters for a further 2,000 away tickets, which could take the Dutch contingent to 6,000 in a venue that seats 16,997.
Tickets are now for sale for this 2026 FIFA World Cup Group G qualifier at the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali. Malta’s official supporters group, South End Core, will be in the South Stand to drive the atmosphere, while away fans will be located in the North Stand with their allocation available through the KNVB website. With a strong Dutch presence expected, Maltese fans are encouraged to secure their places and push the team on a marquee night.
This match follows September fixtures that saw Malta draw away in Lithuania and win a friendly against San Marino. The earlier away meeting with the Netherlands ended in an 8-0 defeat.
MaltaSport is marking the occasion with a ticket giveaway for the match on 9 October. There are three pairs of tickets to be won. To enter, follow Malta Sport and Meridianbet, share the giveaway story, and tag a friend who would love to go. Winners will be revealed on 6 October in a post on the Maltasport.mt Facebook page.
