FIFA has launched Canada Celebrates, a nationwide programme to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026. The event will run from 11 June to 19 July 2026 and aims to bring the excitement of the tournament to communities across Canada.
The programme will include free, one-day events held in public spaces across the country. Each event will offer:
- Live match viewings on big screens
- Football-themed activities
- Cultural events
- Music and food
- A chance for fans to come together and show national pride
The first events will take place on 11 June in British Columbia and Halifax, Nova Scotia. In total, there will be up to 40 stops across Canada, with most locations within a two-hour drive for over 75% of Canadians.
The programme will also support the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, giving fans the chance to see the original World Cup Trophy in seven Canadian cities: Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal, Halifax, Ottawa, and Toronto.
FIFA hopes the programme will bring together football clubs, leagues, and communities across Canada to celebrate the sport and inspire future players.
