Alexandar Zverev achieved a great victory over his growing rival, Novak Djokovic, but even after the triumph, he did not forget about fair play.
Zerev held an interesting press conference and it seems that he talked more about Djokovic than about himself and his victory.
The German tennis player pointed out that Djokovic is the best of all time, and that many often forget that. Accidentally or intentionally.
- It was a fantastic match. We played five times this year and each time it was a big battle. There is no man in the world who deserves more respect than Djokovic. He received insufficient recognition for everything he does. Sometimes we are all emotional and do not behave properly. He is the best of all time and I think that people forget that and that you should understand – Zverev said and added.
- A lot of strength, physical, was needed. I haven’t spent more time with anyone on the field than him.
Now, Zverev is facing a new challenge in the final of the Final Masters in Turin, and his opponent will be the Russian Danil Medvedev.
- I’ll do my best. I hope you will all be here and cheer for both, but more for me. Great finale. We are relatively young. We broke through, he is the Grand Slam champion, and I am the Olympic one – Zverev concluded.
