Three Maltese synchro athletes to participate at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar

Ana Culic, Thea Grima Buttigieg and Emily Ruggier will be representing
Malta at the World Aquatics Championships to be held in Doha, Qatar
between the 2 and 18 February 2024.

The athletes, under the guidance of National Coach Michelle Hubner
and Assistant Coach Hannah Preca Trapani, will compete in the Duet
and Solo Free and Technical events.

Thea Grima Buttigieg and Emily Ruggier will be competing in the Duet events, whilst Ana Culic will compete in the Solo events.

This is the first experience for Thea and Emily at a senior World Championships, whilst it will be Ana’s third appearance at this level.

These World Aquatics Championships are a Qualifying Event for the 2024 Olympics to be held in Paris, France.

ASA President Karl Izzo will also be travelling to Doha to attend the Draws for the U16 Men Water Polo Championships which will be hosted in Malta between the 18 and 24 June 2024.
