MAHREZ REMAINS IN CITY: Algerian Citizen for two more years!

Manchester City footballer Riyad Mahrez has extended his contract for another two years, the English club announced.

Mahrez will stay at City until June 2025.

He has become one of the main players in Pep Guardiola’s team since he moved from Leicester to City in 2018.

In four seasons, the 31-year-old Algeria international won three Premier League titles, an FA Cup, three League Cups and played in the Champions League final.

Mahrez has played 189 games so far, scored 63 goals and had 45 assists.

I am very happy to have signed a new contract. I enjoyed every minute here. It is a pleasure to be a part of this amazing club. The success of the last four years is unforgettable and has made us all hungry and want to achieve more – said the City winger and added:

– I am grateful to coach Pep and sports director Txiki Begiristain and other members of the coaching staff because they helped me develop as a player and continue to improve. Now I want to try to help achieve success in the coming seasons – concluded Mahrez.
