Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic once again wrote his tennis history with just one match!
Against Daniil Medvedev in the final of Paris, Djokovic reached the 37th master title. If it was easy – it wasn’t, but in the end, the Serbian player was happy.
After the match and the presentation of the cup, Djokovic gave the first words.
- What kind of French, it’s hard to speak such good French next to you – Novak made a joke after Daniil’s statement and continued:
- Daniil, thank you very much for these words, and I also suffered in New York, a great rivalry developed between us, but I congratulate you on a great season, as well as your entire team. I wish you a lot of success in Turin as well – said Djokovic.
In this match, the Serbian tennis player had special support, as his children also encouraged him.
- I had special support today in the form of my wife and children, as well as the entire team. It is the first time that both (Tara and Stefan) watched me, I love you, Tara – Djokovic laughed.

After the ceremony, Novak said in Serbian:
- A great match, a fight to the last point, I knew that it would be necessary for me to be at the top in order to beat Medvedev. In the final, New York beat me quite routinely, I analyzed that match well and now it was more unburdened that I was not under a lot of pressure – Novak said in Serbian.
