Novak Djokovic defeated tennis player Marin Cilic from Croatia with 2:0 (6:3, 6:4) and won the tournament in Tel Aviv.
Djokovic won the 89th title in his career, and the third in this season, after an hour and 34 minutes of play.
During the first set, the Serbian tennis player did not allow Cilic a single break point, and he made the decisive break in the fourth game. Djokovic gained the key advantage in the second set in the opening game, and Cilic missed the only opportunity to return to the match in the sixth game.
By winning the tournament in Tel Aviv, Djokovic became the first player in 2022 to win at least one tournament on every surface.
Djokovic is moving from Tel Aviv to Kazakhstan, where the tournament from the 500 series starts tomorrow, and his opponent in the first round will be the 79th tennis player in the world, the Chilean Christian Garin.
When it comes to tournaments from the 250 series, this is Novak’s 11th cup.
