Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic starts at the tournament in Dubai on Monday, and until then – some topics from the past are still being retold.
Djokovic came to the center of attention due to the scandalous situation in Australia, but now he has to leave it all behind. One of the things that the Serbian tennis player repented of was appearing in an interview for the French L’Equipe two days after he received a positive test for coronavirus.
The journalist of the French newspaper Frank Ramella, who also did the mentioned interview, wrote a new article about Djokovic in which he revealed that he met with a Serb in Dubai, before the start of the 500 series tournament.
– On Sunday, he wanted to meet with us in person for a few minutes after the training, in order to personally apologize. He said that he regretted his ‘selfishness’, and he knew that he appreciated the fact that he tactfully reported on everything that happened as part of this strange affair – it is stated in the text of L’equipe and added:
– He was not intrusive in the interviews, but he spoke with raised foreheads, having understanding for everyone, without wanting to deny himself and his views. He did not say anything about the policy of the country – Australia – which did not spare him. He did not talk about the conditions in the immigration hotel, but he did touch on the fate of the unfortunate neighbors in the Park Hotel, he is looking for a way to help them.
