Although he has been out of tennis for more than two months because he is retired, Roger Federer is often the topic of many people, but now Rafael Nadal mentioned him again.
Nadal points out that although he played the most matches with Novak Djokovic, his biggest rival is Federer.
“There are many shared experiences, important moments. People have feelings and understand that this is a sport. When you have a rival like Federer, throughout your career… Because when I started, Roger was already there. It’s true that I played more with Novak than Roger, but it all started with Roger,” Rafa began.
“Because of our opposing styles and characters, because of our affinity, we still shared a lot. All those moments, the feelings you have before the Grand Slam final, an important tournament, all that was in the air before those matches. It was different than in other matches.”
Roger ended his career in tears, and with him were Nadal and Novak, who were also overcome with emotion.
“You know that there will be no more and part of my life has gone with him. It was an emotional farewell to someone who was so important to our sport,” Rafael Nadal concluded.
