Australian tennis player John Milman points out that he is fascinated by the match played by Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of Roland Garros.
After Novak’s placement in the 34th Grand Slam final Milman, let’s share a few compliments on the Serbian tennis player.
“Like any good superhero movie, sports need heroes and villains. And tennis is no exception. In the last 15 years, Roger and Rafa, our warriors, have delighted the audience. But for this story to work, we needed an antihero of equal brilliance. And Novak Djokovic appeared. Arguably the greatest player to ever appear, it’s incredible that his character is talked about more than his ability on the field. He is the one who is redefining the age barrier in our sport, and yet the headlines focus on his views on vaccination,” says Milman and adds:
Whatever he does, Djokovic will always raise dust, said John.
“Novac will always lead to division. He certainly has strong convictions and unchanging principles that many disagree with. For some, there will always be someone they hope will fail. I believe that over time, many people will understand what his colleagues already know, that Novak is a hero dressed in a villain’s suit. And that is exactly what our sport needed”, concluded John Milman.
