Daniil Medvedev praised his rival Nick Kyrgios after losing already in the second round of the Masters in Montreal.
Nick is playing great this summer, after losing to Novak in the Wimbledon final, he only had a few wins, so he was better than Medvedev and won 6:7 (2), 6:4, and 6:2.
-” I missed important shots in key moments of the match. I don’t think I was bad or that I made too many mistakes, but against a player like him, you always pay the guild. It’s never easy to open a tournament, I’m usually a bit rusty at the start, so I have to get into the shot. You don’t have much space when you play with a player like him, I think he will soon be in the Top 10. I had my chances, everything could have changed in a couple of points. I have to play better next time,” Medvedev began and added:
Kyrgios played excellent tennis, admits the champion of last year’s US Open.
-” I don’t care if he serves underhand or not, I don’t see that he tried to destabilize me, it wasn’t any kind of show on the court. He played at an incredible level, he was better than me, and I’m sure he will be a top seed at the US Open,” Daniil concluded.
