Russian Daniil Medvedev, after qualifying for the finals of the US Open, points out that he is not very interested in the statistics of tennis players.
Medvedev defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals, and now Novak Djokovic is waiting for him. It will be a replay of the 2021 final, when Daniil celebrated.
“I think the only way to use it, as I said, is that Novak, when he loses, is never the same afterwards. So it’s different. The mentality is different. Medvedev doesn’t care much about what the statistics say.

In general, I do not know these statistics. I don’t think it has much to do with what happens in the match. Like I said, I don’t really care if he’s number one or number two. He is Novak Djokovic and I want to try to beat him (laughs)”, concluded Daniil Medvedev.
