Russian Daniil Medvedev admitted that clay is not his favorite surface.
- I know I can play well on clay. I beat Novak once on clay. I actually beat Tsitsipas and Novak in the same tournament once, wow. That is a pretty good achievement on clay – said Medvedev.
However, the tennis player from Russia points out that he hopes to play better on clay this year.
- On hard courts, I feel that I can win even though I am not playing my best tennis. It’s more difficult for me on clay. If I’m not at the highest level, I can lose much easier. I hope to be better this season.
