Kyrgios positive on COVID 19

Nick Kyrgios, the Australian tennis player, announced today that he is positive for coronavirus and that is why he will not play in the ATP tournament in Sydney.

“I want to be open and transparent with everything, the reason why I had to withdraw from the Sydney tournament is that I was positive. I am fine at the moment and I have no symptoms “, wrote Kyrgios.

“If all goes well, we will meet at the Australian Open,” he added.

The Australian Open starts on January 17.

The Australian tennis player has stood out in recent days by selflessly defending Novak Djokovic.
