Greg Rusedski spoke about the best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, and his form, considering everything that happened to him in the previous period.
Djokovic recently returned to the field after a long break and reached the final at the Serbian Open, where he was defeated by the Russian Andrei Rublev.
The world number one player had problems with his condition, but he pointed out that he had achieved the goal of playing more matches.
Rusedski believes that Djokovic will be ready for the second Grand Slam of the season—Roundhill.
– At the moment, it doesn’t matter how Novak Djokovic wins. He only needs to accumulate matches and go on through tournaments, even without showing great tennis – says the Briton.
He claims that the break left a mark on the world’s first racket and that it will take time to return to the standard level.
– Novak did not forget to play tennis. He misses the rhythm of matches, his habit of winning has somehow weakened. He has to get back on track and think about the game. As the weeks go by, the level of his game will rise and we will soon see the real Novak again. He will do everything to come to Roland Garros in top form – Rusedski concluded.
