Former number one Roger Federer commented on current events in the “white sport”.
“We have more all-court players today. No more traditional players of slow and fast pitches as we used to have. I think it is very important for the fans to be patient,” Roger began.
He compared young tennis hopefuls to himself when he was that age.
“Some expect that these guys will immediately be at the level of us from the big three. When I was 19, I was unstable. Each player needs to be given some time. The game is always creating new champions, and it is now in good hands. “The Wimbledon final was incredible, and the US Open is very close,” Federer recalled.
