DJOKOVIC OPTIMISTIC: I feel good, the main goal is Paris!

Novak Djokovic will continue his tennis season at the Masters in Rome.

He has already held his first training in the capital of Italy, and after that he addressed the media.

Before the first match he will play with Aslan Karacev, Djokovic also touched on new tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz:

He’s special. He has already broken some records as a teenager, winning two masters this year and two more ATP 500 series tournaments. “He is currently the best player in the world, without a doubt,” said Novak, adding:

-The way he coped with the pressure in our match two days ago was impressive. He deserved the trophy. He doesn’t play here in Rome; he wanted to take some time off. He had a few intense months, and I think that was a good decision. As for Roland Garros, he is definitely one of the main favorites.

Djokovic also revealed his next goals:

Every week I feel closer to that desired level. I played well in Madrid, despite that defeat in the semifinals by Alcaraz. It was almost three and a half hours of tennis. The next day, I felt good, and that was an encouraging response for Rome. My main destination is Paris. I think I’m going in the right direction.
