Croatia and Argentina have secured the final two spots in the lineup for the third iteration of the United Cup mixed team tournament, set to take place in Sydney and Perth at the beginning of the upcoming season, as announced by organizers on Monday.

Leading the Croatian team for the third consecutive year will be Donna Vekic and Borna Coric, both of whom will compete against the United States and Canada in Group A. Meanwhile, Argentina will face off against hosts Australia and Britain in Group F. Expressing her enthusiasm, Vekic, who earned a silver medal in singles at this year’s Paris Olympics, stated in a press release, “Honestly, this is my favorite tournament of the year. Our team has incredible energy. Borna has been my friend for over two decades. It feels like we’re a close-knit family. We’re not just a team, we’re a family.” Argentina, who missed out on participating in last year’s United Cup after being part of the inaugural edition, will feature Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Nadia Podoroska as their top-ranked players.

The tournament starts on Dec. 27 with the final in Sydney on Jan. 5.
