Becker: I hope Djokovic will play forever

Novak Djokovic’s former coach and former tennis player Boris Becker would like the Serbian ace to never stop playing.

Djokovic recently won the Masters title in Cincinnati where, after a great fight and reversal, he managed to defeat Carlos Alcaraz.

That duel delighted even Becker himself.

“I hope that Djokovic will play forever. There are some matches when your tennis heart beats fast. It was a great match in Cincinnati, you can’t imagine anything better,” he told Eurosport.

The German expert also praised the relationship between the coach and the players in that match.

“What I especially liked about Alcaraz is his coach. It was nice to listen to Carlos after each point. The question arises “is the coach important?”. I think that question was answered during this final, also from Novak’s side, whose coach stood up and loudly supported him. That’s what you want to see, pure emotion and passion. So both of them left their hearts on the field”, concluded Becker.
