Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev spoke before the Australian Open quarterfinal match with Novak Djokovic.
The match, which will take place in the Laver Arena, is scheduled for Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Serbian time. It will be the fourth duel between the two players, and the only triumph the Russian achieved in Belgrade last season when he won the Serbia Open.
The Serbian tennis player celebrated in 2021 and 2022 in meetings at the Final Masters in Turin.
“I know that Novak is tough to beat, especially at Slams. He has the most experience in such matches. He is one of the best in history. The only chance is to play my best tennis, to fight for every ball. This is the only chance,” said Rublev.
He downplayed Novak Djokovic’s injury.
“No, no, not at all. I do not know. He plays. He wins, so…” Rublev added.
The winner of this duel will play in the semi-finals with the better of the match Tommy Paul – Ben Shelton
