With his first win at the Final Masters, Alcaraz remained in the race for the semi-finals

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz defeated Andrei Rublev in the 2nd round of Group B of the Final Masters in Turin – 7:5, 6:2.

The world number two thus recorded the first victory in the final tournament of his career, which left him in the race for a place in the semi-finals.

The decisive match will be played in the 3rd round against another Russian tennis player, Danilo Medvedev.

Alcaraz was able to deal with Rublev without too many problems. In the first set, both tennis players held serve until the 11th game, when the Spaniard reached the only break and finished the set routinely.

In the second set, he took the rival’s serve right at the start, and then again in the middle of the set, which brought him a convincing victory, with which he annulled the lead from Alexander Zverev in the first round.

In two days, he will duel with Medvedev in the last round, while Rublev will play against Zverev.
