Alcaraz and Sinner impress in Indian Wells masters as Rublev exits early

Carlos Alcaraz showcased his escalating form as he confidently dispatched Felix Auger Aliassime in their recent duel.

Ranked second in the world, the Spaniard exhibited a marked improvement from his previous match against Matteo Arnaldi, securing victory over Auger Aliassime in straight sets – 6:2, 6:3.

Alcaraz demonstrated exceptional prowess on his serve throughout both sets, seizing control of rallies and capitalizing on his opponent’s serves to secure a decisive and efficient win.

Next up, Alcaraz is set to face Hungarian talent Fabijan Marošan in what promises to be an engaging match.

Meanwhile, world number three Jannik Sinner also progressed, defeating Jan-Lenard Struf in straight sets with a scoreline of 6:3, 6:4.

Sinner is now poised to take on Ben Shelton in his upcoming match.

However, the tournament bid for Andrey Rublev came to an end at this year’s Indian Wells Masters, as he succumbed to Jiří Legecka in a closely contested encounter.
