Captain of the Croatian national team and midfielder of Real Madrid Luka Modric awaits the semi-final duel of the World Cup in Qatar against Argentina with a lot of confidence.
“It’s impressive to be in the semifinals of the World Cup again, what this team is doing is something incredible,” Modric told Spanish television and added:
“It is normal for everyone to look more at big countries. Since we are a small country, no one takes us into account, but we have no problem with the fact that others are favorites and we are in the shadows. It’s something we can’t control.”
Croatia will play the semi-final match with Argentina on Tuesday at 20:00.
“Argentina is a big team, we don’t play against just one player. Of course, Leo Messi is great, their best player, and we will have many difficulties to stop him, but we are ready and we will do our best. Let’s try to play the best match of the tournament in our lives. I hope that will be enough for the final”, concludes the Real Madrid player.
