14-year-old Aussie sensation Arisa Trew makes history with Olympic gold, breaking 68-year record in Paris

Arisa Trew has become an Olympic Games champion by securing the gold medal in women’s skateboarding in Paris.

Her triumph in Paris has made her the youngest Australian Olympic gold medallist, surpassing Sandra Morgan’s 68-year-old record.

Sandra Morgan, a renowned swimmer, was 14 years and six months old when she won gold at the 1956 Melbourne Games. In comparison, Trew is currently 14 years and three months old.

“What an incredible finale. What a moment to remember. This is truly a remarkable ending, straight out of a Hollywood movie. Our exceptional young athlete is right there,” remarked the commentary team on Nine.

“Arisa Trew, you are an absolute champion. Let me tell you something, gold suits you perfectly, my friend.”

Despite a disastrous start, with a fall on her first attempt, this 14-year-old prodigy rallied back with an astounding final performance, earning an unbeatable score of 93.18.

“I am absolutely thrilled,” expressed Trew in an interviewi “It’s like experiencing a whirlwind of emotions all at once.”
