Kickboxing fans in Malta have had an electrifying two weeks, witnessing two remarkable events that celebrated the sport at its finest. The Gladiators Fight Night 31, held on February 21 and 22, delivered two action-packed days of intense competition, while four local fighters from Team Noel Club Malta made a powerful impression at the Trapani Italy Kickboxing, K1, and Muay Thai event.

Gladiators Fight Night 31: A Two-Day Combat Extravaganza
Held over two thrilling nights, Gladiators Fight Night 31 featured a total of forty-four bouts, offering a mix of K1, Kickboxing, MMA, Muay Thai, and professional boxing. The first night on Friday was dedicated to nineteen amateur boxing matches, setting the stage for an electrifying Saturday that included twenty-five high-stakes encounters across various disciplines.
One of the major highlights of the event was the battle for the prestigious Gladiators title belts. In the Muay Thai division, local fighter Borko Stanojcic triumphed over Leeon Montanaro in a fiercely contested match. The K1 category witnessed a stellar performance by Victor Galea, who emerged victorious against Mehdi Irbayine to claim the second Gladiators title belt of the evening. Meanwhile, in kickboxing, Faris Lukovic delivered a stunning knockout against a Brussels-based fighter in the first round, securing the third Gladiators title belt of the night.
The grand finale of the event saw an unforgettable professional boxing debut by local talent Inzaghi Xuereb. Facing Irish opponent Pol Jeremiah, Xuereb stunned the audience with a spectacular knockout, marking a triumphant start to his professional boxing career.

Adding to Malta’s recent success in combat sports, four fighters from Team Noel Kickboxing Malta proudly represented the nation at the Gala Athena event in Trapani, Italy. Under the expert guidance of Master Noel Mercieca, Jake Gomez Blanco, Dillon Mamo, Justin Pace, and Jesred Piscopo showcased their skill, determination, and resilience in the ring.
Teenage kickboxer Jake Gomez Blanco delivered a commendable performance, earning a hard-fought draw in a tightly contested match. Meanwhile, local champion Jesred Piscopo dominated his Muay Thai bout, securing a well-earned victory on points. Their outstanding performances, along with those of their teammates, reflected the high level of training and dedication instilled by Team Noel’s coaching staff.
