Malta secured an impressive fifth place out of 21 countries at the ISKA AMA European Kickboxing Championships, which were held locally and came to an end on Saturday afternoon.
Team Malta put on a strong showing, winning a total of 60 medals, 16 Gold, 19 Silver and 25 Bronze.

For a small country like Malta, this is a remarkable result and further proof of the progress kickboxing has made in recent years.
A total of 820 athletes took part in the championships, representing 21 different countries, including Malta. Among the other participating nations were France, Poland, Georgia, Scotland, Azerbaijan, Norway, Croatia, Denmark, England, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Cyprus, Portugal, Romania, Italy, and Ukraine.
