Commonwealth Judo Championships to be held in Malta

The Malta Judo Federation is proud to announce the upcoming Commonwealth Judo Championships which will be held in Malta from the 5th till the 7th of April at the National Sports School in Pembroke. 

This prestigious event will see participation from over 200 judokas representing 12 countries: Australia, Canada, England, India, Isle of Man, Jamaica, Jersey, North Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, Wales, and Malta. For the first time in history, Malta will have 27 entries, including participation in the Veteran categories. 

Each competition day will focus on different categories of participants: Veterans and Ne Waza on Friday 5 April, Cadets and Pre Cadets on Saturday 6 April, and Juniors and Seniors on Sunday 7 April. This diverse schedule ensures a wide range of exciting matches and displays of judo skills from all ages. 

In addition to the judo competitions, the Commonwealth Judo Association will hold its Annual General Meeting and a Scientific Symposium on Thursday at the Malta Judo Academy in Pembroke. This meeting will allow members to elect new executive members, discuss the future of judo, and share scientific insights related to the sport.
