Qormi Daikin qualified for the Euro Hockey Challenge 2 final when they scored a great victory of 10-0 against Swedish side Roslagens in Gibraltar. This was the biggest victory that a Maltese hockey club has achieved at European level. In addition, the Yellow/Blacks got the first place in their group when they recorded 12 points from three games.
Ayrton Falzon was the protagonist for Qormi when he scored three goals while Keith Calleja had a personal brace. Luke Bajada, Keith Bajada, Axel Cauchi, Steve Tanti and Julian Zahra also put their names on the score sheet.
Now Qormi play the final against Soroksari Olcote who finished in second place in pool A with the game starting at 1pm.
Meanwhile the same Soroksari beat Trust Payments Floriana Young Stars 3-0. The latter lost all the games they played in pool A and will therefore play the classification game against Ginstrekte of Lithuania this morning.
Soroksari scored their goals through Bence Szigeti, Balazs Szuchy and Andras Hortobagyi.
