The Maltese national hockey team is preparing to take part in the Euro Hockey Qualifiers Division B which will be held in Dublin, Ireland between the 22nd and 25th of August.
Coach Chris Attard called a squad of 18 players and is holding a number of training sessions to get them ready for this event.
Division B is considered a very difficult one which includes Ireland who have just taken part in the Olympic Games. Other strong squads also include Turkey, Poland and Italy which together with the Czech Republic, Wales and Luxembourg form this category.
Malta begins its commitments on Thursday 22 August with a very difficult game against Ireland. Eventually the Malta will play the classification games hoping to get a good place in this competition.
