This weekend, the Badminton Malta Academy will be represented by Francesca Clark, Martina Clark and Diego Scalvini at the 2° Torneo GP Città di Padova in Italy. The international tournament runs from Saturday 18 October to Sunday 19 October, bringing together players from across Europe.
All three Maltese athletes are set to compete across multiple categories throughout the weekend. Diego Scalvini enters the competition as the second seed in both the Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles events, marking him as one of the top contenders in the tournament.
The event begins today with a packed schedule for the Maltese players. The opening day will feature a mixed doubles match involving all three athletes, signalling a strong start for the Badminton Malta Academy representatives as they look to make their mark on the international stage.
Their participation in the Città di Padova tournament reflects the growing presence of Maltese badminton talent in European competitions, with the Academy continuing to develop players for success abroad.
