Danica Bonello Spiteri and Josef Azzopardi have been named Triathletes of the Year 2025 following consistent performances in local and international competitions.
The annual recognition highlights achievements within Malta triathlon and acknowledges athletes who have delivered strong results across the season.
Danica Bonello Spiteri secured the women’s award after another competitive year. She recorded multiple podium finishes in domestic and overseas events, maintaining her position among Malta’s leading endurance athletes. Her results throughout the season reflected sustained performance across different race formats.
Josef Azzopardi was named men’s Triathlete of the Year 2025 following a season of progression. He delivered consistent performances in several competitions and strengthened his standing within the national triathlon rankings. His results marked a significant step in his development at senior level.
