The Chief Executive Officer of the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport, Dr. Luciano Busuttil along with other officials from the Authority paid a visit to the Mediterranean College of Sport.
The MCS welcomed its first batch of students this academic year, with 95 students currently pursuing their secondary studies in Years 7, 8 and 9 along with a group of sixth form students.
Dr. Busuttil was shown around the campus and state of the art ancillary facilities of the College by Mr. Charlo Bonnici, CEO of MCS, and Mr. George Micallef, the Director of Sport Development and Recruitment, at the Mediterranean College of Sport which is situated in Birkirkara.
During the show-around Dr Busuttil and other officials from AIMS had the opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of the operations of the MCS.
During this inaugural scholastic year, the Mediterranean College of Sport is offering an accredited educational program that allows student – athletes to enhance and intensify their training in one of the six sports disciplines offered: namely football, water polo, swimming, athletics, artistic swimming, and artistic gymnastics.
During the visit Dr. Busuttil was accompanied by Mr. Andy Grech, Head of Education and Policy at AIMS, as well as Mr. Aidan Falzon and Mr. Matteo Desira Buttigieg, Executive Officers within the Authority.
