Luxol St Andrew’s and Swieqi United achieved important victories in the Enemed Futsal Premier League to maintain their top positions in the standings.
Champions Luxol dominated their encounter against Ta’ Xbiex to win 6-1.
Gabriel Dobre’s boys were 4-0 up by the end of the first half and continued to manage their advantage in the second half.
Jhon Castro Pulido scored three goals while Jefferson Breno found the net twice. Maicon tied the score for his team.
Ta’ Xbiex reduced the margin thanks to a goal from Sebastian Obando.
Referees were Danilo Francalanza and Marco La Rosa.
Swieqi United won the challenge of Marsaskala Futsal Legends as they defeated them 8-1.
Dylan Pace and Karl Luke Schembri scored a brace each with Alexander Dominguez and Guillherme Fonseca adding to their team-mates’ goals. Dale Valletta and Andrew Cachia were unlucky to score an own goal.
Marsascala’s only goal came from Jovica Milijic.
