In a heartfelt and emotional message, Gianluigi Donnarumma has confirmed his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, expressing his disappointment, gratitude, and love for the club, its fans, and his teammates.
The Italian goalkeeper, who arrived in Paris with high hopes, began by recalling his dedication:
“From the first day I arrived, I gave my all, on and off the field, to earn my place and proudly defend the goal of Paris Saint-Germain.”
He said that his journey with the club has come to an unexpected end, a decision made by others:
“Unfortunately, someone has decided that I will no longer be part of this group and contribute to the team’s success. It’s a decision that leaves me disappointed and bitter.”
Though deeply saddened, Donnarumma hopes to still see the fans one last time:
“I still hope to have the chance to look the Parc des Princes fans in the eyes and say goodbye as you deserve. If that doesn’t happen, I want you to know that your support and affection have meant the world to me and I will never forget it.”
He assures the fans that their love will always have a place in his heart:
“I will always carry in my heart the memory of the emotions I experienced, the magical nights, and of you, who made me feel at home.”
To his PSG teammates, Donnarumma offers sincere thanks and brotherhood:
“To my teammates, my second family, thank you for every battle, every smile, and every shared moment. You will always be my brothers.”
He concludes his farewell with a note of honor and gratitude:
“Playing for this club and living in this city was an immense honor for me. Thank you, Paris.”
